what do i need to disconnect before welding
 

hi folks need a quick response what do i need to dissconnect electrically on my wrx before doing a small tig job on the subframe?

Take the earth off the battery.

It's so there isn't a full circuit in your electric compenents etc for the electric to pass through when hit the bang button on the welder.
