2nd Hand Impreza Market....

Is there one??!?!!

Been trying to sell my Spec-c for the last 3-4 weeks, with only one real interest, which has had to drop out at the last minute.

Bought the car for £16k about 8 weeks ago, realised its not for me (cant deal with the running costs).

Thought seeing as its a White Spec-c, 2003, with only 13k on the clock in excellent condition, i would get back what i paid for it.

I have now dropped the price over the last few weeks and all i am asking is £14k.

see here...

Subaru : Subaru Impreza Spec-C JDM 03 **PRICE DROP**

Now is it a case of the market is very slow at the moment, or am i doing something wrong? Or is the car just not as desirable as i once thought?

Any help would seriously be appreciated!

cheers

Unfortunately it's a buyers market, it has been for ages

I dont think the steering wheel and boost gauge are doing you any favours, gives the buyer the impression it was a boy racers car prior to import... (or thats the first thing I thought anyway). Plus the graphics on the back...

Not just Impreza's. Look at how Evo VIII's have dropped recently

Agreed, and the license plate fitting on rear, doesn't make it lOOk too smart.

cheers for the input.

Graphics have gone, i should update pics.

What size plate do ii need for the rear? A standard sized square one?

Is that a 'ring sticker on the side? Great if so, but might put some buyers off if they think it's been thrashed around?

May be just because it's more of a specialist car than a 'normal' WRX or Sti, so will take longer to sell.

I don't know if it's just me, but I am liking white cars at the moment - I think white is coming back...

Amazed at this tbh - knock a grand off and it will sell - trust me:thumb:

i've seen a couple new age for less than this btw

Agree strongly with the steering wheel. I looked over the advert on Pisheads and I've got this issue with non-standard steering wheels. S

The Chief is right at 13k mind. Pity I've made up my mid to get a 'grale :)

Good luck with the sale though :thumb:

L33_WRX 28 August 2007 05:59 PM

yeah if you have a standard steering wheel put it back on, remove all graphics and add a few better pics

just in my opinion first thing I would think is that the cars been ranted - just the impression mainly the graphics gives me

good luck with the sale - don't get impatient though, it will sell eventually

Wasnt that particular model the one that lapped the ring in a record time, hence the graphics. So it would be odd without it.....

.....agreed if it has been added later it needs to come off!

No not this model, it was the 2005 Spec C type RA that did the ring in under 8 mins ;) but the market is slow :( and the price is a little high, even mine went for less than that, but ill not upset you by showing you the Spec C ltd for sale at 13250 with 18k on the clock  and fsh!

Tony:)

I have seen that one, which is annoying! lol.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Dropping the price to 13k sounds like it might shift the car quicker, but can i stomach a 3 grand loss in as many months......? :freak3:

You could keep it and put the 3k you would of lost towards the running costs:)

Abdabz 29 August 2007 08:37 AM

I would be worried that it says 13k miles at the top of the ad and 10k further down  I'd be thinking if the owner doesnt know the mileage, then what chance do I as a buyer have? ;)

The wheel and gauge are bad, but I could see past that I think... I would definately want the graphic taking off the back before picking it up too.

It is a special car though :luxhello:

I agree. You could pay for a lot of running costs with 3k. And probably not have much more depreciation by keeping it for another year.

Under 8 mins, ****, thought my 845 was fairly quick in a classic 99 model, have my work cut out know then.
