Amazing new science museum
BBC NEWS | In pictures: Technology's hidden past, Hangars and racks
Wow! I knew the science museum had some big stores in London (have been trying to get a tour of them for ages!) but had no idea they had all this stuff at RAF Wroughton  You could easily spend a week looking at it all i think! Hope they get the grant :thumb: |
saw that the other day, would be nice to have it open up :)

Wow some amazing stuff there, it's just down the road from me and I had no idea they had stuff like that stored in those hangers!
Will deffo go there if they open a new museum. :) |
That looks like an Aladdin's Cave of really interesting stuff, I'll definitely go and have a look round when/if they get the go ahead :thumb:

Would be interesting to see it exhibited if they manage to get the grant.
I wonder if science is "politically correct" enough though? |

It does look very cool - Chris Boardman's bike, rockets, planes, even the first ERNIE machine... I've got a feeling that I heard (on local TV) they were opening all hangers up to the public to look around over this weekend, but can't find anything about it anywhere. Would be well worth a look... |
being a yokle from Swindon, this has been talked about for years. The current science museum has some interesting gear in. They often has events up there but can't help feeling with better management they could do so much better with that space.
