Damn XBOX360!!

Guys I need some advice. Whilst playing Forza2 this evening my XBOX360 has stopped working. The graphics went funny in game like a kinda bluey green tint (even the menus for xboxlive went funny as well). Turned it off and then on again and now there is no picture at all. it is working cos I can hear the sounds but picture is black. I also noticed it seems like the fan has stopped working cos I can't hear it whirring.

Bought it back in DEC2005, whats the best thing to do ? Sling it in the bin ?

Not sure what to do now, got so about £500 of games. Is this just Microsoft's sneaky way to make me buy another ?

This coming the week after the Washing Machine did a Call of Duty 3 impression.......... :(

you can induce the red lights with turning the unit on when it's coverd with a towel. Lots of people doing this to get a repair.

My XBOX had exactly the same problem. Luckily it was less than a year old and I sent it off for repair about a week ago.

Is that for all repairs now? When I had mine repaired it only took a week.

Well I sent the 360 back via UPS today. As Microsoft have this bizarre statement that any 360 sent back in its original box will not be returned, I decided to do what they stated and use my own box (as it happens my old Sony PS2 Box) Haha the irony..............:D :p

So I wait now after paying my £80 for their design flaws, I get another 12 months warranty (reckon I might need it.....)

So went back to playing the PS2 whilst I am latest gen consoleless. God the graphics seemed a bit basic compared to "wot I'm used 2" :)

Roll on 4 weeks, I've heard Bioshock is rather quite good!

did you not make the console become a "3 red light version" ?

Fabioso 29 August 2007 08:36 AM

I had a go, but it didn't seem to wanna play ball :Suspiciou :D

Well I'll see what happens when the machine comes back. Does anyone
know if you get back the console you sent ? or do you just get "a refurbished one" back in its place ?

Whats the chances of it buggering up after its been "serviced" ?
