Anyone know anything about RS Turbos?

Hi all iv just swapped (plus cash my way) my classic scooby for a 1989 S2 RST. It drives great although i had forgotten how much they torque steer!! when cruising at say 60 mph in 4th gear and i put my foot down it will slowly boost up but feels slightly jerky on the uptake and although the boost is 'stepping'. Its hard to describe without experiencing it but i wondered if anyone had any ideas?? Its as though its got no boost then 2psi then 4psi then 6psi etc but its not smooth???

Any help much appreciated

PS no jokes about the swap its hurting enough:lol1:

Dont see the prob myself. Its an RST. theyre not quick anyway. 60mph and 4th gear, its always gonna build up boost slowly.

What turbo has it got and what boost are you running?
