Flat 4 Cylinder Numbers?
 

Hi,

If you stood in front of the engine bay, looking left to right back to front, how are the cylinders numbered? i/e which is cylinder number 2?

i belive 2 if u are looking at the engine from outside is is nearest u on the left

Stood at the front, looking into the engine bay
Front left = 1
Front right = 2
Back left = 3
Back right = 4

Number three is made of chocolate.....

Thanks for the input guys, i heard number 3 was made of the brown stuff :)

Its the farthest from the oil pump, the water pump; and its the last position on the fuel rail. A recipe for disaster.

And it's right next to the turbo.

And is very closely linked to your wallet :)
