Does anyone have any experience of running text competitions
 

Hi Everyone!

We, the poor IT dept, have been asked by the marketing dept, about the possibility of setting up a text to win/text for more info type system.

Now at the moment, its just pure discussion, as in what they MAY want to do. Has anyone done this, and how difficult is it in reality to do ? Basically if anyone has any experience of it that they would like to share, id be most interested. Especially cost wise.

Try SMS integration in google.

I've just setup an application using Clickatell's SMS system.

I was aked this by my marketing department. They are always full of crap ideas. I found a few but then I pointed out to them that I personally didnt feel happy about setting up a info/competition system that would cost 25p + std rate to enter. I also added how would they go about replacing clients who felt we were just getting commercialised and looking at ripping them off.

They changed their minds.
