Sard 650cc fitting problems

greetings every1

I have a fitting issues with the injectors and collars. They are:

these yellow 650cc Sard side feed injectors. Sard part number for the injector is 63561.

they come with the following collars:
http://205.196.214.179/images/ebaypi...650/Image6.jpg

Basicly it is all about the O rings which were supplied with collars. I mean the one that should be at the top of injector. It is just to small in diameter to fill the injector shaft. OEM injectors are really tight fit, sards are lose...it wont hold the fuel from the fuel rail.

Maybe there is sth missing ?
or sth is wrong about the car?
as for the car it is - MY95 subaru impreza sti type ra ver2. with the EJ20G engine.

I am really lost with this injectors issue...:freak3:

CkoTuHa 18 August 2007 05:37 PM

for example the flat4online lists some kind of collars for their apexi ones. they look like this http://www.flat4online.co.uk/catalog.../n555gc8ik.jpg

what should I do to fit those nasty injectors ???

CkoTuHa 20 August 2007 06:45 PM

Carls Scooby Site ver.2

if only Carl replys...

500 20 August 2007 08:18 PM

Yes, I would ask Carl to confirm, but am 99% sure. Mark at Lateral should have stock if Carl doesn't reply soon. E mail him the pics and question.

I'm sure Paul at ZEN can also help and possibly David at API

ZEN Performance 20 August 2007 09:30 PM

this is what I've written in a paypal dispute

Dear RHDJapan,

I was trying to fit injector in the fuel line, but it was to loose inside the injector shaft, not like the OEM injector.
There is absolutely no way supplied injectors, collars, O-rings would hold the fuel inside the fuel rail.

From many irreputable UK Subaru parts providers, it is clear that these injectors wouldn't fit under no circumstances.
There is even no adapter on the market that would adapt them to the fuel rail.

One injector was opened for fitting, as well as the collars to try the O-rings as was suggested by you.
I have seen the picture you sent me from sard, btw there was a remark in in japanese. It wasn't clear what was it saying.

But the truth is that they were not fittig at all, even with your reccomendations.
I can't fit them using all the equipment I got from you to original JDM ver2 GC8 wrx.

Your site says that they are straight fit but they are not. I made the deceision and bought them. At the moment of making decision I wasn't aware
that they wouldn't fit.

Let me make myself clear, all I wanted is a set of injectors. But I got a set that doesn't fit. Althought I used your site as guideline, it listed them
as 100% for my car but they are not. I can give you the VIN number it is GC8-036302 it is 100% JDM Wrx sti ver2.

Mentioning all the above, I would like to return the injectors.

Hope to resolve this issue!

and their last email was like this

Hello,

Thanks for the question. If you did not take the parts out of the package you would not be able to say that they dont fit in the fuel rail so there seems to be a disconnect here. We are going to refuse the package at this point in time until this is resolved. I sent you a scan of the Sard catalog that clearly states that they are for the Subaru listed in the listing and there for we are not in the wrong for listing them according to the manufacture specifications. Did you get that? I can resend it to you if you would like. Our site is to be used as a guide but it is you who ultimately must make the decision if they are the correct parts for your car because all the parts listed are for domestic model cars that are not intended for sale outside of Japan.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Happy bidding!
Best Regards!

a little earlier I wrote this msg

Thanks and let me explain.
I hereby confirm that they are in the sealed original packing,
the DHL tracking number(airwaybill) is 6144263694. ( DHL | Global )
I will let you know if our customs let them go through tonight. You should receive them by next monday.

Now, about your Subaru shop in scotland, and your proposal that I was initally wrong with the order.
Can they say which application then these SARDs are ? I will tell you - they are not suited to any GC8 subaru. Basicly it was your fault to list them as Subaru injectors.
As they are NOT. They are really for Toyota Supra.

Why I was mentioning the Nismo ones ? because the subaru OEM injectors are basicly Unisia Jecs injectors. Those nismos are in fact unisia jecs injectors too, they are phase 2.
But, they are NOT direct drop in replacement for the OEM gc8 MY95 subaru wrx sti type ra ver2, as early subaru models were phase 1. However, people have fabricated injector adaptors, such that
these NISMO phase 2 injectors will fit the subaru phase 1 fuel rails, provided that you have fited these adaptors.
I will have to buy the adaptor, if you to send me those NISMOs.

I was told here that NISMOs will fit if I get the adaptors from Carl Davey, by the respected subaru equipment providers. And there is no reason for me not to believe them.
They are all well respected and known people amongs subaru involved people in UK and are running their business for many years, really.

NISMOs are phase2 unisia jecs injectors. They are straight fit to Impreza MY99/00. As mine is early model MY95 ver2 GC, I will have to
additionally order The Phase 2 > Phase 1/1.5 Injector Adaptor Kit from Carl Davey or Zen Performance or Andy Forrest or Graham Godie or Flat4online.co.uk.

If I get the Adaptors and the mentioned injectors I would be happy to fit them.

regards, Aidar

flashback! I need your input here...

I opened a dispute on paypal. Wrote politely that the goods are no good in a sensible manner.

This is what with they came up with, today morning:
Hello Aidar,

Thanks for the question. I see what you are saying but you must consider the rules of our sales. You did not contact us within 7 days of receiving the injectors to tell us you made a mistake in purchasing. In fact it has been over 45 days since you purchased them from us. We could restock them for you for 35% because Sard will charge us restocking fees for the injectors and im not sure they will take the one injector that has been removed from the bag if there is gasoline or any damage on it.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Happy bidding!
Best Regards!
