Elvis Presley - 30 years have now passed

And still he has the power to stir the soul.

No-one before, or since, has quite had that 'something' ...... quite a special human being.

I went to see 'him' a few years back at the MEN Arena

was quite good in all fairness, I originally went more curious about how it would be all integrated, and I was pleasantly surprised

Only thing was I went with my Mum and her Mate, as they are stupidly big Elvis Fans :D

Although not stupid enough to go to Graceland this week :D

I agree.

shame he died so young.

I have those number 1s released a couple of years ago, I keep meaning to get the last one but keep forgetting..

He broke the mould. Stupendous voice. Brought black/white music together.

Charisma - He did it for music what Clinton did for politics,

I wasn't a fan but without Elvis we would not have had The Beatles, John Lennon was a massive fan of his.

There can be more than one, you know! :D

AND my point wasn't about him being MY Special Human Being .... there 'just are' certain people who can move souls and light a room - charisma.

And I admire those people - Clinton was another, brilliant speaker.

Its just a pity when they use it for their own advantage and against that of others though.

I agree about Presley, very special ability and he is missed alright.

Very true these days Pete. Will we ever see a strong leader with honour as well I wonder?
