Would a MY99 STI TMIC fit a 2002 WRX
 

looking to upgrade my bugeye tmic, would one from MY99 classic be a straight fit

Normal upgrade for the bugeye is a newage STi TMIC :)

I'm not sure, but wouldn't going for a MY99 STi TMIC be a step backwards as all newage TMIC's much better ??

It would fit yes, but as already hinted at, would be a backwards step, as the newage wrx intercooler is bigger than the 99sti one......

Yeah the STI8 intercooler is the mod of choice if you are keeping it in the family and not going aftermarket.

nice one guys, it was just something that was bugging me, basically someone offered me one and i didn't know if the 99 STI one was different tot the 2002 STI one.
