What brake pads fit the Wilwood 6pots?
My original Wilwood pads are just about done:(
But I wondered if there are any other kind of pads other than Wilwood that are compatible with the 6pot calipers. Also if there are, where to buy would be a great help too:) Cheers! |
A lot of aftermarket calipers use standard pad shapes. For instance the K Sport 8 pot calipers use the Ferodo 3077 pad shape which is the same as the AP CP5070-D54 shape that goes in the well known 5570 caliper. Suggest you talk to Alyn at ASPerformance on 0191 4103770 as he'll know the answer if anyone does.

Cheers, found that these pads fit the Wilwood 6pots, FRP 501 - DS2500 (fast road use)

If this:
Wilwood High Performance Brake Pads is your current pad then: I have spoken to EBC's technical guys and they think that it should be DP4037 Yellowstuff or DP3037C if you want Redstuff. Both are here: :: EBC Brakes Direct Limited :: Pad diagram is here: :: EBC :: Product Diagram :: 138mm EBC measure include the two hooks left and right. 71mm height is not correct. It is 62mm. Recommend Yellows for track and road, Reds for road only. If you do order online please state that you have seen the tech diagram, mark it FAO Buck and 62mm height then I will inspect the pads before sending them. Regards Buck |
Hi, cheers for the info.
I did get EBC red stuff pads, they are fine in every respect, except they are too thick, they measure about 20mm. Tried to fit them but no joy:( The Wilwood dimensions for the thickness is 16.5mm, all the other dimensions are fine though. The EBC red stuff part number I have is the DP3007C, I just need this pad but thinner. The overall length of the DP3007C (including the hooks) - 133mm Height - about 62mm They are a good match to the wilwood's in these dimensions, like exactly, but about 3.5mm to thick. |
Hi
DP3007C is not the correct part number I am afraid. DP3037C should be correct. Are you able to return them to your supplier? |
Yeah, I went down and had a word with him, and told him that I need the 3037C's, he wondered where I got the information from:)
Thanks very much, cos I don't know how long it would have taken them to sort out the correct ones. Should have just got them from yourself, I'll let you know how much I paid, see if am getting ripped off or not. Think they were about 50 odd quid + vat Cheers |
The Wilwood link isn't working for me atm. I am curious, did you have the BP-10 pads fitted? If so and if you have a sec could you tell me what sort of use you gave them (road, track etc) and roughly how long they lasted. Also ifyou really want to, how you found them? :) Mine are currently at the East Midlands DHL hub :).
