Need official papers for road legalisation

Hi guys

I just imported an awesome Impreza and now try to get it road legal here.
Problem is it came originally from Japan and so I have more or less nothing with it.

What I need is an official paper telling the built year of the car.
Model code is GC8D2DD

The shell is a 98 type R and I just need some paper telling the year 98.

I do not know if anyone can help with this.
Best would be if someone from a subaru dealership could do this or similar.

Maybe you guys also have some ideas about this.

Help is much appreciated.

Thanks

If you dont have a certificate of deregistration, then you have no hope of registering it at all.

Hi guys

I am not in the UK so things go a little bit different here.
The car had some detour before getting here.
Problem is that only very few have done this here before and no one really wants to share their knowledge.

Who does such model reports?
And what is written in them?

I do not want to have to much info for the official guys here so I can get all the fun bits legal too.

Thanks

Which country are you in ? Why not contact you vehicle registration office, or whatever you have, and ask them what you need to register the car, before spending money on model reports etc that you might not need.

I am in Switzerland.

I already contacted the authorities and if I had a paper stating the year it was built would be the easiest because then I would have proof which Euro (smog) norm I have to pass. Unfortunately my word is not enough.
