My clar bar results

We finally had some good weather so went and got the Meguiar clay bar, tbh the paintwork seems in good order, so gave the whole car the bucket method, wheel arches door etc shuts, then dried using the meguiars water magnet, clayed the whole car and wheels using quick detailer for lub, gave a going over with wax, and then detailed rest of car.
The reflection is deeper but alot more smoother finish.
I want to do the engine bay, i usually use TFR, leave to soak thenpressurewash off then alight spray of wd40 to dress it, is there a better way and also what do i have to be aware of when cleaning this engine.

The trolley jacks are on ford haynes manuals :lol1:

I used my clay bar for the first time last week, great for getting rid of dead flies! Far better than any bug and tar remover i've used before!

How many times can you use the same one? Does it have a lifespan?

i was given a quick demo of the power of the clay by a car wash company near where i live this morning, i was gobsmacked, was superb results, he said they do the whole car plus polish and wax and inside for £50, does that sound good?

nice results mate ive been looking around for a suitable piece of wood to use with my jacks, never thought of the old manuals...genius :thumb:

A general rule of thumb is, whenever you re-shape it & can`t see a clean area then it is time to replace it. I`m sure someone will correct me if I`m wrong.

I believe your correct Ant, but it then can be used on wheels etc instead

Same goes with wash mitts, when they are fubarred, use them around the wheel arches.
Its all good this re-cycling lark :lol1:
