STI /WRX foglamp cover question

Hi all,

just a quick question. Do the foglamp covers you get on a version 8 STI fit directly onto the same shape WRX without any mucking about? How do they fit on? I have a 2003 model.
Thanks

You have to remove the WRX foglamp surround before you can pop the STi covers in. Uses the same clip and lugholes to locate both parts so you'll see where they're positioned around the foglamp covers.
Just prise gently with a flat bladed screwdriver wrapped in cloth or insulating tape - takes about 5 mins to remove the surrounds and stick the STi covers in.

Cheers,

Stewart.

Thanks for that. Forgive me if I'm being stupid, but what holds the fog light in place once I take the surround out.
Jonny.

It's securely mounted onto a chassis bracket with iirc 4 bolts - all nicely hidden behind the surround which is purely a cosmetic finishing piece.
All will be revealed when you pop the surround off ;)
IMHO it's a nice wee cosmetic mod (view my scooby!!) :thumb:

Cheers again,

Stewart.
