Anyone out there found it difficult getting proper info on wheels and tyres for WRX. Well after a lot of research and measuring and phone calls, with everyone saying no fit 17" decided to go for it and ordered a set of OZ SuperLeggera 7 x 18 (7kgs a wheel) took a long time to arrive but well worth the wait. Then the tyre prob. everyone said fit 35 series, lots more measuring 40 series it is. It has totally transformed the car. BLINDING. Reply if you want more info.

Sweet!

I've been trying to decide what rims to get for my 2002 Scooby...Been thinking about 18" Volk Racing GTNs or GTAs...but didn't know if they would work...what is the offset on your rims? do you get any rub at all?

I think there is some confusion here - the first post appears to be referring to the old WRX and the second to the new WRX....which has no problems at all with 18" wheels..

has it changed the rolling radius at all?

post pics if you have them!

thanx...

I had no problems with my 19 inch wheels from TSL, on my 95 WRX its lowered 35mm and its fine with 4 people on board, and it goes round corners :-)

Mark E, What tyre size are you using?

MarkE 04 January 2002 11:04 PM

Milo. Yeah slightly changed, but so what, it puts the speedo out by about 2% (reads slow). Easy to do calc. 205/ 50 x 16 (std) gives 1921mm rolling dia, and 215/41x18 gives 1977mm rolling dia. Look the biz and you have got rid of all that tyre wall flexing so it goes round corners.

Whoops, that should say 215/40x18 Razz. Pirelli P7000

got to agree with you there Jack. I too have 19" wheels from TSL and there is absolutely no scrubbage whatsoever. And they look great :)

You guys with the 19"s on, how wide and what offset, what tyre size do you run. Did you not have any probs with rubbing on spring cup on rear strut.

OZ Super L's are really nice yeah :D :D :D :D (I'm an unbiased owner of course :D :D )
You sure yours aren't 8x17 and not 7x17 (Mine are 8x18's)
