I was a HUGE fan of the original V-Rally on PS1, but then messed it up with V-Rally2. Make up your mind graphics wise with these shots of V-Rally 3...

Quick shot of 'Gran Turismo 3 Concept' which is Japan only right now, but Sony is thinking over doing a version that contains prototypes from the European markets.

Daz,
That big bloody pipe in the first pic looks like it's going straight through into the cockpit via the windscreen.I take it the driver is on a deathwish and trying a Les Battersby???? :D :D :D :D

Cheers,

Nick..

*THUNK* <Sound of jaw hitting floor>

VR3 looks deeeeeeeee-lite-full :D

Markus 04 January 2002 11:18 AM

VR1 was ace, and as you say things were a tad messed up with VR2, gfx for 3 look awesome.

The surprising thing is its the same developer who did the previous 2 versions - a compamy called Eden. Publishers are Infogrames.

Nick, I think Les is driving with Dennis as the co-driver, heh!

ARENT THE WRC ALL LEFT HAND DRIVE?? HENCE CO-PILOT GETS IT IN THE HEAD :):)

DazV 04 January 2002 05:26 PM

Munkii, you are INDEED Funkii.

I won't hold my breath on this game.

I had big expectations from the X-Box rally sim (even though I hate X-Box for some reason), as its written by Digital Extremes who did Rally Masters on the PC, but someone said a video clip looked rubbish - probably PTHOLT, although he's IMPOSSIBLE to please.

Colin Macrae III looks to be the most interesting, but I can't help but think we're being ripped off on those pre-release renders of the cars. I bet the final cars look nothing like that.

Right now Rally Sims are very stale. They all look the same - its about time someone took the initiative. Hell, you could rip the rally section out of GT3 and its still better than anything else out there.

If this is anything like Rally Masters the handling will be top notch.

Just a shame I don't have an X-BOX really.

Saying that it'll appear on a PC shortly afterwards!

might be a little while daz, MS is paying developers eg the project gotham crew - for the game to stay on xbox for a set period before any ports happen as they dont want to negate the xbox launch.

Feel free to pop round and watch me playing it on mine anytime mate :)

DazV 04 January 2002 08:35 PM

Thanks for the offer, but there'd be nowhere to sit - I'd be stumbling over X-Boxes, GameCubes, PS1s, PS2s, PCs, etc...
