Whats this Google Search all about on the forum !?!

I cant figure out if I've got some add-in on my Internet Explorer but when I click on 'Search' on this forum, I get a Google Search box which is blooming useless! What gives? Does everyone get this?

Note to Admins, lose the Google search thingy, its tosh! Bring back the old forum search function! (if you have changed it that is, it might just be my machine)

Google search works better...well it would if the site was fully/properly indexed, mind that affected the old search too.

Just makes sure you check the "scoobynet.com" button, as it defaults to "web"

Yeah but if you want to search for an add, you get all the other forums as well, no definition...

If the new google search was any good, no-one would pay the fiver to upgrade.

Its like star wars movies, "Scoobynet3 the search for more money"!

Thanks Shark Man

One of our moderators is looking into a more advanced way of using google which should make it even more powerful to use.

Only major issue is for some reason google has a habit of listing list archive stuff from 2 years back in precedence to current stuff.

One can used the advanced option set to "3months" mode to get round this, but in some cases only the cached results work, as the direct links somtimes takes you to the current forum listings.

Google Advanced Search

Put "bbs.scoobynet.com" in the domain for scoobynet only results

I was hoping you meant something already in the Scoobynet Google search, rather than having to open google seperately to do an advanced search.

yea I also find this pain in the butt.

Is there anyway to sort it in date order too? as the results dont seem to be in any sort of order?
