VXR8 will be my next one. If I win Lotto and it's a big sum, Buggati Veyron! :norty:
|
As it is my toy it'll be one of this lot:
E46 M3 Hawkeye STi (In black) Lotus Exige or at the other end of the scale Mk 1 or 2 Escort RS with a cossie lump in it See how the mood swings when I change it in 18 months time or so |

Type 25 would be my second choice. My third and final would have to be Spec C RA :thumb: Maybe biased towards Subaru, but it doesn`t get much quicker till you are spending supercar money. Ant. My choices, RS6 Avant, Noble M400, Type25/EvoX |
If I had the money, probably a V8 Vantage Aston.
Being more realistic, a VXR Monaro or an S204. ..edited.. can I add the Type 25 to that list. Can't believe I forgot that! Cheers Matt |
out of all the nice cars ive had the scoob is gona be the hardest to replace, but i would definatly be looking at the supra TT, depending if the kids can saftley be seated.
|
Im thinking.....
Skyline R32 GTR or Mazda RX7 or Toyota Corolla AE86:luvlove: for a bit of old school drifty fun! |
Probably another Scoob for me, although my dream car would be a 993 C4S........one day.

Scoobs are irreplaceable! Havin been in quite a few so called supercars can honestly say that a well sorted STI takes some beating. Its not necessarily the speed of them. Its the whole thing i.e sound, handling, tunability and sheer fun factor. Would love obviously anice Ferrari, Lambo, GT3 or Aston but in real world could poss afford Type 25 maybe in few years if I am lucky. My mates just bought a 450bhp TVR which is frighteningly quick but its not for me! Crashed my STI over a year ago and bought a Merc S500 which is a far superior car in most ways but I would swap it tomorrow for an STI8....

Will not be changing for a good couple of years (says the wife) but would consider
BMW M3 Volvo S60R Impreza WR1 EVO 8 |
evo 9 or 10:thumb:

I wanted a scoob from when I was about 20 (1994) and I saw one for the first time in Burscough and my mate pointed it out proclaiming it could keep up with a cosworth...
Intrigued, I yearned for one until 2003 when I bought my nicely modded 99 UK Turbo :notworthy 2 years later and it was time to change to a slower but more solid 2002 UK WRX... A few weeks ago that changed to a 2004 Xtype diesel :luvlove: I still love scoobies but grew weary of insurance, petrol and road tax expense along with all the chav attention and vandalism etc and decided I had to change. I miss the performance sometimes, but not often enough to justify the £100 a month I am saving just as I'm about to buy my new pad :D So to answer the question, there was only one car I would change my scooby for and that was a torquey posh ford :lol1: Had money have been no object it would have been an RS6 Audi though :luxhello: |
evo 6 for its rawness
new m3 just look class and go well audi rs6 fast as anything and plenty of space for fishing tackle and the dog |
I am on my 3rd Impreza, after the second one I went to different brands for nearly 2 years, then got bad withdrawel symptoms and had to buy another MY03 STi. Even the wife ended up converted and had the Forester S-Turbo.
I have owned both saphire and escort cossies, it really would be a step the wrong way after a subaru. Reliability on the saphire was appauling and the escort wasnt that much better. Very dated now. I will be sticking with subaru. |
I doubt I'll get rid of this one, so when it becomes an weekend / trackday / sprint car I'll probably plump for the VXR8, however I'm liking the idea of supercharging the Rover 75 ZTT V8 estate
|
Its a good question, having owned mine for 3 years im finding it hard to find a car that could tick all the boxes the Scoob does, its a total hoot to drive.
With my 1st baby just arrived my thoughts lean towards a E39 M5 or a B10 Alpina, something I could still tune a bit. A few mods to a E39 M5 would see 450BHP.............thou Im in no hurry to change just yet!! |
My wife tells me I've got the scoob for a few more years yet but on the list so far is:
RS4 Foz STI if not too dated by then Range Sport |

Having done the rally rep thing ...Gralé, GT-Four & now a 555 i quite fancy a change ...been looking at Exige's & Clio V6's ...but tbh I will probably be ditching the 'car' scene & be buying a Kart

Just p/x'd my WRX300 for my (current) ideal car ...a 3 year old Audi S4 (4.2 V8) tiptronic, v fast, 4wd and more understated in a stealth bomber kind of way....although I do miss the feeling of the scoobs turbo kicking in and it's fuel consumption was better !

(I had an Audi 4 series) The pain.....the pain! |
Hmm-decisions,decisions!
An RS4 Avant for the hounds would be nice and a RB320 for the supermarket.Oh and a kit car (HMC?) supercharged Austin Healey for Sundays...or maybe one of those scooby based kit cars-mmm:norty: |
Still been thinking about it and, for the first time in my driving life, im convinced i have the perfect car for my needs. the scoob really ticks all the boxes! And I have plenty of room for the puppy rottweiler in the back! And when im not carting the dog around its got plenty of performance to keep me happy.
The only way I could ever change would be to do the whole 2 car ything again, buy a van for dog and work, and have a toy for weekends, probs a new age sti. But thats a long way away, with this car theres no need to change. Once I get my 300 bhp i'll be sorted ! |

My next car will definately be another Scoob, got a MY05 STi now, so
MY06 Spec C or Type 25 next then an RS4 looking further on, then when middle age kicks in..... TVR Sagaris or a Noble :D |
Z06 or RS4 :norty:

Well, as the Type R is up forsale...
Gonna put some money into my first house I've just got with the girlfriend... Car wise, I'm gonna buy a 306 HDi estate... it will come in handy for odd jobs, and cheap to run... I've also got a MK2 Orion I plan to 2litre zetec turbo... Hopefully will be ready for next years show season... Once i'm back on my feet and a couple of years go by OK with the house... I might be tempted to go back to a Scooby... Pocket depending... |
My Rb5 went just a while back, I'm thinking..
Exige S Noble M12 911 3.2 carrera 996 C2 TVR of some description New Spec C... :D |
Gonna keep my spec C until it dies ... saving up to buy one of these too: The Ariel Atom
