Hid is totally differnet, its an arc light created by jumping a gap, a normal bulb uses a heated filament that glows...a HID needs a very high voltage to start the arc, but then actual power consumption is only about 35w.
Ring 'red' +50% brightness are very nice, white light and much brighter than stock, and cheaper than anything at Halfrauds! Simon |
Philips vision plus from Powerbulbs. Don't know about the new X-Treme Power though.
HIDS4U Ltd, Leeds, UK for all HID and Xenon lighting kits and conversions explains all. |
So hid would last longer as there is not a filament to brake
|
Correct, HID last a lot longer generally, but its much dearer to fit as you need the control unit as well, also you only get a single element!
