Cannot open webpages, outlook can't connect etc.
 

Hi

Just using my PC and all the sudden couldn't open any webpages (outlook couldn't connect either).

Other PCs in house are ok (hence being able to post this message!).

Have tried turning off firewall on the offending PC but didn't sort it.

Anyone help please?

Most obvious (and often overlooked) solution is a network cable unplugged.

It wasn't that, bear in mind I could ping sites even though browser/outlook wouldn't work.

Other PC was using a VPN to work so that's why it could open webpages.

I'm guessing that it was something to do with the ISP or routers DNS getting screwed?

Anyway, turned off hub, waited a little while and re-booted it. PCs can now connect OK.
