Limited edition WRX GB270 center caps

Does anyone know if these are available to buy from a main dealer?

stilover 24 July 2007 04:25 PM

Yes they are.

Abx 24 July 2007 04:30 PM

Excellent, will get on the phone then, thanks

Abx 24 July 2007 05:01 PM

Just spoke to my main dealer who called IM, these are only available as a replacement part to owners of GB270 cars. So if anyone has a GB270 and wants to order me some?

MikeWood 24 July 2007 05:29 PM

Arron

Which wheels would you be wanting to fit them to?

Mike

Hi Mike

Was hoping to put them on a set of Inovit 18" wheels, I believe the prodrive badges fit but as they are not PD rims didn't want to go down that route, liked these as they are pretty much OE.

Can you help at all?
Thanks

They won't fit.......................... :(

It's frustrating enough when people put our existing caps on counterfeit wheels but trying to put on caps off a model that's not even available yet!!!

haha...

I'm not telling Mike what the RB320 crowd are doing with their center caps then.

Paul

It wouldn't be anything we haven't done already ;)

Cheers mike, strange though that the Prodrive caps fit and the GB270 ones don't, thought they would all be interchangable.

Thanks anyway

Hi Mike,

is it still possible to get hold of Prodrive centre caps for Speedlines (60mm) ...as local dealer says they're not listed anymore? :(

Guess you won't agree with me giving my hard earned cash to a Subaru dealer in Europe then instead of a UK dealer, then spending some of what I saved on a non subaru front splitter saving me more money!

Arron

You can do what you like with your money, I have no problem with how you spend it at all. :)

What galls me is the fact that someone has had the barefaced cheek to directly copy our wheel, even down to leaving the JWL & VIA markings on when they clearly haven't had the wheel tested as it can't possibly have the approval they claim. To add insult to injury people then use our cap in there to try to pass it off as the real thing. In all this process we've just made about £0.50. You may be able to understand my frustration......... :(

Hi Mike

I must admit they are very similar wheels but sure the Inovits don't have the markings you mention, I would have considered original PFF rims but wanted a darker colour than the bright flitter and was told you do not produce a gun metal shade, I do understand though that you cannot cater for everyones taste and produce every colour people want.

I actually made a point of not putting the Prodrive caps on as I did not want to carry them off as original prodrive rims, from what I remember the GB270 caps do not have any prodrive markings on and only showed the subaru stars which is why I thought it would be a good compromise.

Anyway lets leave it there.
Thanks
Arron

We do have an Anthracite version of the wheel, unfortunately Subaru don't take it as part of their Accessory range in the UK.

BTW, I wasn't having a go at you Arron, just expressing a frustration. the idea of not putting a P cap on them is a very good one, particularly as they aren't the Prodrive version. All the pics and wheels I've seen do have the JWL & VIA marking on them, in fact I would go as far as saying that the front of the wheel appears to be identical other than the Prodrive and Flowforming detail is missing!
