Vulcan Bomber at Bruntingthorpe

I know it's not everyone' cup of T but the last Vulcan Bomber in flyable condition is owned by a charity over at Bruntingthorpe in Leicstershire.I drove over on Sunday and had a cracking time looking around and chatting with a few of the guy's that work on the plane. it is approx 4 weeks away from returning to flight for the first time in 14 years. A true British Engineering masterpiece !!

I just noted that Subaru UK are a sponsor of the Vulcan to the sky project :)

There's a good new(ish) Vulcan book out too - Vulcan Test Pilot, by suprisingly an A.V. Roe Test pilot, Tony Blackman. Pretty good, lots of very detailed information about the Vulcan from Prototype testing to end of service and beyond. :)

Certainly would be lovely to see her flying down the Mall with the Red Arrows either side again !!
