People who are glad it's raining.....

.....apart from ducks!

I figure British Gas must be rubbing their hands with glee. It's the middle of July and I'm sat at home and about to pop the heating on because it's bloody freezing in here!

People who make wellies and umbrellas must be pretty chuffed too.....

Roofers.

The sunday DIY conversation goes:

"there's only a little leak in the roof, summers coming and the F1 is on, i'll get to it later..."

Doesn't your husband lock the heating controls? Women should not be allowed to control temperature ever. Fact.

DCI Gene Hunt 23 July 2007 07:09 PM

It'll do the lawn good :thumb:

Isn't it a shame then that here in south west Scotland we are in the middle of a heat wave.

OI! For the record can I just state that I'm always the hot one in this household (:norty: ) - hubby will always crack and put the heating on before I go anywhere near the controls. Most evenings will see him sitting in 1 or even 2 jumpers whilst I'm in a T-shirt - so

:D

Yeah, but I bet the next evening at exactly the same temperature you were "freezing" :p

At least it has kept my well topped up-usually getting worryingly low by this time of year. Its the only water supply we have.

Still sorry for the flooded though.

I'm not so upset by all the rain either. It's so nice to out kayaking with rivers at winter levels, but the air temperature at about 20 degrees. :D:D:D

So cool to have water in the rivers and be able to play all day without getting bored (cos of low water levels) or freezing your bits off after an hour or so in the winter
