Hi mate if you bought the bov specifically for the impreza then the spring should be preset for your motor. I made a marked the bolt on mine so i knew where it was originally set at and adjusted it a few times but didntnotice much differance. I would just leave it as its set

oh dear! it came off an rx7 so maybe it needs adjusting. seems to be working ok . a bit quite but nice chirps when you give it some ! anyone have any idea to what it should be set at?

thanks for youre help.

i have an HKS SSQ, but i dont have the screw on the back, its the older model, what the hell was that thing out the front of the dump valve causing it to chatter!!! I WANT ONE!! that scoob sounded awsome :notworthy could the HKS be modded for that sound?:Suspiciou

What sounded awesome? Should there be a link here or summut?

justylover 22 July 2007 09:00 PM

it was ere a minute ago???:wonder: some bloke in a blue scoob, an open cone. an 3 different types of dumpvalve. the HKS SSQ had something stuck out the front of it making it judder it sounded REALLY good!:eek2:

hmm that kinda helps but i dont know how long the bolt is without takeing the whole thing out. dont suppose you know what it measures between the bolt and the back bit? does youres chirp all the time because mine only chirps when i boot it (let the boost build up) otherwise is pretty quite like a normal bov.

thanks

doesnt matter how long it is,just undo it,then re-do it up but with only a little thread in the dump valve.

ok ill try that. hopefully nothing will break!

cheers.
