We got a central install of Sophos on our Domain Controller, serves our local domain very well...I need to start thinking about installing it in a centrally located Domain so other Domains can see it and pull updates down.

Has anyone done this?

I'm assuming that the local DC's will get the updates from the central DC and push to client PC's, what type of trust is required across Domains for this to work?

If its major agro I may well go with the IP based McAffe E-Policy
product (been told its much easier to use)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

John

You will need a master domain model for this to work properly. You can then use a single service account across all domains.
You then need to decide which server is going to be your central server for product/dat updates.

Good luck.

John, if you need any info on ePO from McAfee give me a shout @ Jclark@nai.com. My mates write it, it's in a different league from anything coming out of Sophos. Not that I'm biased or anything ;)
