Apparently one of our PC's we use for downloading movies etc at work has is affected on port 1090 (That's all i know)
i presume it's the xtreme trojan because this is what I've found on the net. Can anyone explain what it is ? Cheers Andy |
AVI,
An infected port ???? Not sure I understand. Why don't you check out www.grc.com they will be able to securely scan your ports, etc and provide you with really interesting information regarding securing ports, etc. Cheers Phill C |
I don't know what i mean, the PC is on a seperate network to ours, the admin just told us that it was broadcasting out on that port???

There are loads of reserved ports such as 80 for http 22 for ssh etc... the list goes on - check the link. Anyway, sorry gone off on one there - an infected port really sounds like your admin dept are getting a bit confused. Your PC could be broadcasting out on port 1090, but as for infected, hmm not sure. If your pc is behind a firewall they should have odd ports like that shut anyway, problem solved. http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers 1090/tcp FF Fieldbus Message Specification 1090/udp FF Fieldbus Message Specification |
