Anyone renewed recently with NFU? Interested as to wether they are still competitive or not?

regards,

greg

My renewal's up at the end of the month so i'll let you know...

I wonder what Rum* can do for me .....

I'd be interested as well, my insurance with them is due on 10 Feb. They have been much cheaper than anyone else for me over the past two years but I'd like a policy that covers track use too.

Do you have to be a member of the NFU before they will insure you ?

gregh 03 January 2002 01:34 PM

Nope, you don't need to be a member.

Do you need a traker with the NFU.

gregh 05 January 2002 07:14 PM

re tracker : nope!

Renewal notice arrived this morning - £623 for a P1 inc upgraded brakes..seems pretty competitive to me.

Best otherwise so far is Tesco at about £720

I got my renewal this moring as well... £1190. I paid £896 last year but the car is now modded a little :) (MY01 with Leda, Full SS exhaust, Alcantara interior, body kit) Is this good or bad ? I'm 36 with full NCD in a good postcode.

I suppose i need to ring Rum*. Any one out there good on MY01's ? Last year everyone one apart from NFU were quoting stupid premiums as they didn't seem to know what it was.

Andy

PS - How the hell did you get < £700 on a P1. Are you drwing a pension ? ;)

My NFU insurance was up at end of December. Went from £605 to £680.

Phoned around a bit and ended up with Norwich Union for £550.

Dave :)

Not got my official letter through from NFU, but they are looking the best so far:

NFU £1,103.76
Tesco £1,302.00
Schofield £1,500.00
Tesco £1,522.00
Elephant £3,374.70
Privilege insist on tracker
Greenlight can't quote due to business mileage

gregh,

For reference would you mind tell me a little about your spec ? Car, age, history.

Cheers ... Andy

NFU do seem to do good rates however they won't insure HM Forces personnel. Which is jolly decent of them.

gregh 01 July 2002 05:21 PM

MY00, 2 years old with PPP, 17" alloys, Eibachs, Brembo brakes, new ICE

Do around 15k business miles a year, 5k personal.
