I WAS WONDERING HOW MANY MILES / KMS COULD A SCOOBY RUN...
ONE TIME I SAW ONE SIGNING ABOUT 250000 KM (155376 MILES) DOING THE REGULAR SERVICE AT THE DEALER. IT WAS A GREEN SCOOBY WITH EXHAUST AND SUSPENSIONS KIT CHANGED... AND THE POTENZA S-02 PP ... DESTROYED !!! SO THE OWNER WAS NOT THAT OLD MAN WHO USES HIS CAR ONLY ON SUNDAY TO GO TO THE CHURCH !!! HE MUST HAVE BEEN A PULLER!!!(I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WORD IS RIGHT BUT I THINK YOU'LL UNDERSTAND IT). ALL THIS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG COULD MY SCOOBY RESIST. IT'S A MY98 (FULL EXHAUST AND FILTER CHANGED) AND NOW THE CLOCK SIGNS ABOUT 60000 KM WHICH IS ABOUT 37290 MILES. THANKS FOR ADVISE CICO |
Barely run in mate.

Mine has 90000miles and runs like new... just remember to keep warming up and warming down without the turbo cutting in...
Also regular oil changes help. :) You have plenty of mileage left in that car.... ho ho JGM |
107000 miles and 16 months of fault free motoring.
Well impressed. MB |
Not an Impreza, but my 1993 Legacy Turbo has just gone through 136,000 miles (same engine as Impreza). It's just starting to loosen up ;0). There's a US website called something like www.subaru-highmileageclub that's got loads of members with cars with over 200,000 miles on and a couple with 300,000. Regular servicing and oil changes in particular are, obviously, the key.

R reg catalunya with 100,000 miles & still going strong, full subaru service history.

Yes, i think the real secret is to warm up and pay attention of not cutting the turbo when it's still in function and ,of course, having regular services!
thanks |
My CAPS LOCK key once went 300,000 characters without the PC crashing!! ;)
Suresh P.S. Had an MY95 last year that was 85k miles and still going strong. [edited to add P.S. in a desparate attempt to stay on topic] [Edited by Suresh - 1/4/2002 11:33:50 PM] |
