Get access to very accurate scales as found in a laboratory or in a paint shop and adjust the weight to that of the lightest con rod.

The eagle rods come balanced in sets. and it shouldn't matter what rod goes where. However it would be good to mark the new rods so they can be reassembled in the same place should they ever come out again.

Sorry Paul but Eagle Rods don't come balanced, at least not several sets I have bought recently. OE rods also need balancing.

From the catalogue:

"All rods a weight matched and packaged accordingly, with only a variance of +/- 1g."

Perhaps their scales are as good as their English. :)

OE rods are usually within 2 grams within an set of 4, but as much as 5 grams out over a wider selection.

I don't I supply or specifically endorse Eagle rods BTW.

I plan to get all the rods the same on very accurate scales to within a decimal point of each other. I assure you the balance on the Eagle is worse than the O/E Subaru supplied by RCMS.
Weigh the next set you get in.
Anyway I thought you were a fellow sceptic and knew not to believe advertising/sales blurb.
Don't get me wrong, these rods have a place in the market place subject to power aspiration and budget.
