Make sure you add the OV2 file along with the bmp image file of the POI's into the great-britain-map maps folder of the tomtom...make sure they have been unzipped/unpacked onto your desktop before you add them!..... then reboot the tomtom (unplug from pc it should reboot itself)... find the poi and set it active :thumb:

Any problems send me a message I have to do this every couple of weeks for friends who are in desperate need of speedcamera poi's :nono:

as knobby says make sure you have unzipped them, before sending them to the tomtom, then make sure they get put in the folder, probably called Great britain map. Go to change preferences and manage poi, make sure they are enabled and jobs a good un :)

lost here too, lol!

i have been on the poi site too and downloaded a readme file, bmp image and an ov2 file.

Do i connect the tom tom and then look at the files on it? When i do look at the files what is the folder holding the maps?

cheers,

andy

Download your poi and unzip it. There should be two small files ending .ov2 and .bmp.

Navigate (no pun intended) the SD card and find a folder called Western Europe or Great Britain or whatever the name of the map you have installed. Now just copy and paste the above two files into here.
