Help - broke down tonight

Had to call the AA today to recover my scoob on the way home from work. Had driven about half a mile (in slow traffic so wasn't thrashing it in any way shape or form!!).

Water temp was just at correct running level (if that helps set the scene more.....).

Anyway, pulled away from a junction (again didn't take it over 2.5rpm) when the car just sort of died. Tried to start it again and it fires up but then immediately dies....kind of like it is running out of fuel (but I know it hasn't as filled up and only done 50miles on the full tank....).

Recovery guy thinks that the "fuel cut off switch" might need reseting but I have never heard of this on a Scoob and besides, why would it trip out (normally they only trip out after you have a crash....).

Any ideas what the problem could be (Once deliverd home I checked again but same thing, fires up then immediately cut out?? :(

Any advice gratefully received...

Cheers

Darren

does the revs sort of bounce up and down? have u checked the pipe from your dumpvalve hasnt came loose same happened to me, screwed it bk on and it was sorted.

No it doesn't bounce, it just fires up and cuts out straight away. Beginning to think it must be the fuel pump.

:(

Does sound like it could be a lack of fuel pressure, there is some sort of safety cut for the pump in the event of a detected accident, but I don't know how it works on yours I'm afraid!
