Not at all Rannoch !!

A New Conservative would be on one's bicycle. Only his briefcase would be in the Prius. :D

Trout 12 July 2007 12:20 AM

Fair cop...

...or more to the point a Prius being followed by a V12 Daimler Jag full of Special Branch ;)

These days I think that the name of the political party is irrelevant. I personally dont care what party is in power as long as they are doing the best for the country and the people in it.

I decry absolutely the last bunch of self seeking incompetent creeps who were in charge for the last ten years. They have brought this country to a state of immoral anarchy and I believe it to have been deliberate in order to serve their own ambitions. They have destroyed anyone's belief in politicians and it will be very difficult to regain the trust that those who govern this country used to have from the electorate.

I cant say what will happen now-Flash appears to be saying and doing the right things but who are we to know whether that is a con job until he calls a snap election. That goes to show my own cynicism, but in the present climate I reckon that most will feel the same way.

Les :(

I've obviously missed something, apart from the odd U turn, no doubt to stick 2 fingers up to TB, I'm hearing the same stuff I've been hearing for the last 10 years. I have even less confidence that GB will deliver on it than TB

i'm in total agreement.any of the partys would fcuk us over as look as us:(

TonyBurns 12 July 2007 08:03 PM

All politicians want is to pass a bill to increase their expenses and wages, though depending where you are in the country normally shows where your political feelings lie.
Every political party leaves something behind that people dont like then blame the next party for it, tories left us with no rail network, a totally knackered NHS, no customs and excise, left the military with "just in time" deliveries of equipment as they sold off the war stock (and it was never on time either), had the highest inflation prices (over 15%) etc etc etc.
Labour, yes let too many people into the country, would have been better if we had a customs and excise that could stop them.... NHS..... hard to rebuild what took the tories a couple of years to wreck, though I agree that labour have gone about the problem the wrong way around.
Education.... those schools that were falling down under labour were falling down under the conservatives, I know, i was in one!
Politics is about who can bullsh1t the most, half of them are corrupt, some of them actually want to do the best but the corrupt part and the useless ones stop that.... time to get rid of most of the chiefs and have a nice ratio to the indians ;)

Its always the same when a government has been in power for a long time, people forget what it was like before...like hospitals closing, everything being privatised unemployment at over 3 million and a piss poor education system, strikes, massive loss of British industry.......oh hold on groundhog day or what lol, but I still have to say tho Labour have managed to mess up a lot less than the Tories did. Its easy to bash a government when it has the feckups of the past to deal with, but then this government is now making a whole lode of new feckups.
Personally I've had enough of the lot of them, the only thing worse than a MP is our bloomin media, man what a load of crp!.

I used to like labour but like some have mentioned before, they are all the same now, oh and whilst I'm going off, what a great idea it is to privatise the country's infrastructure oh yeah great idea!:brickwall the country that created the first railways and now look at us, its bloody embarrassing!.

Do not forget who put labour in the position that were at in 1997,undoing all of labours mismanagement. Unfortunately looks like we will soon be back in the same boat .

Leslie 13 July 2007 01:45 PM

Interesting to see the cynicism in all these posts about politicians in general. Looks like its not just me after all!

yep dont like labour or the party

VoteConservative! 14 July 2007 12:54 AM

Labour used to be good for us in the beginning. They represented common man and fought for his rights. However they have now taken this whole human rights and politically correctness stuff too far and are ruining the country in the process. We need a return of some good old fashioned common sense, and the Tories are the best suited candidate of the lot to bring us that.
