*Prodrive 3-Port Boost Control Solenoid*

I am looking for a Prodrive 3-Port Boost Solenoid Control for my STI, Can you say me where I can buy it? In Prodrive they do not sell loose units.

Thanks ;)

Was it not a Prodrive item fitted to the WR1 ? If that's the case it should be available as an OEM item throught the stealer network :D

Try posting in technical asking if the WR! had a Prodrive 3 port.

Yes, it is included in the packaging of prodrive, but they do not sell it freely in prodrive

Ive seen these, It says something about altering your duty cycle or something, Whats that all about ?

dynamix 03 November 2007 07:07 PM

basically your car would need remapping as it would overboost quite badly if you just slotted it in.

moto 03 November 2007 11:28 PM

Get one here. Good quality item with a remap.

Got one myself. ;)

I bought one from that very same vendor earlier today - how long did yours take to arrive and did you get stung with import duties?

D-an-W 03 November 2007 11:37 PM

Would this be a worthwhile upgrade for a TD04 Hybrid before I have it mapped (Great exchange rate atm etc)?

dynamix 04 November 2007 12:12 AM

I have to say I am a little dubious on the benefit of them. Mine is purely going to be a R&D item to try it out. For what it costs, it cant hurt and if it does help spool or stabilise boost then :)

STI5300 04 November 2007 07:51 PM

I had one from the States though sold as Prodrive it is a Pierbourg unit

D-an-W 04 November 2007 07:53 PM

Any close up pictures of these, Renault fit some Pierburg stuff...might be the same :wonder:

TomCat 04 November 2007 08:35 PM

Theres a better picture of it here: STi & WRX Performance Parts: Prodrive 3-Port Boost Solenoid

Will these work with an MY99 turbo 2000?

They're listed in the states as 2002 on, but I guess that may be because they didn't get the turbo there until then

STI5300 05 November 2007 11:00 AM

Thats identical to the one I bought that was listed as a Prodrive Part, I'll get the part nos stamped on it for you to compare.

STI5300 05 November 2007 05:50 PM

Part nos on the unit are
Pierburg PA6 GF30 or 7.00036.00, 12v 04T047, 1M50-9C728-AA

Hope this helps though you need to change the socket on the end and is is very close in resembling the Pressure sources switching solenoid !!!!

Found this just in case anyone needs it...

I actually bought mine BNIB from someone on here, but it came from the US and is identical to the one pictured.

I've got a TD04 Hybrid too. I couldn't say for sure how much difference it makes alone as it was added with other upgrades.
I did a bit of reading up on how it gives better boost control to the mapper and thought why not?
The bloke that fitted it at the Subaru speciallist asked specifically where I'd got it as it was the dogs bo*****s.

Post number 1 on this thread might be of interest.
