I am currently looking at on-line quotes - doea anyone know if I have to declare the following:-

In Jan 2001 I had a fault accident, in my girlfriend's car - she had to claim - i'm a named driver on her policy. Now I am not sure whether this should be counted as a claim I have made, which on-line quotes ask for.

Does anyone know if I have to declare it, as technically, if I answer 'no' to 'have you made any claims in the last 3 year?' I am being truthful.

Also, I haven't got my license back after recently getting 4 pts for speeding in court, will this show as an SP30 on my license (It was 60 in a 40).

Cheers

Happy New Year

insurance companies will find any way not to pay if you have an accident in the future so be very careful.
they are weasles!!!
Any licence points are dead easy for them to check. As for your accident ,they all share info so probably best to be up front.

On the proposal form you signed it will have stated YOU have to declare any material facts. Fault accidents and speeding are material facts. If you deliberately withhold information it is fraud, and the insurer is not insuring the risk they thought they were. I'm not preaching, just answering the question.

Im sure as for the points you will get a SP40 if it was a 40mph speed limit where you were caught
