What do I need to run more boost

I am swapping from an Apexi ecu and an Apexi boost controller to a Simtek ecu that uses the standard map senser. Before I was running just under 1.4 bar, am I right in saying the standard map senser will only go to 1.25.

What do I need to be able to run the boost as before, car is 93 type RA.

are you looking to sell ur apexi ecu?

Scott.T@PolarPerformance 10 July 2007 01:17 PM

standard map sensor on Pre96 only allows you to run about 1.15bar boost with fuel cut set at 1.25bar (approx).
you may be able to run with a Post96 Map sensor if the simtek can be rescaled with the required values/cal data.

Is the simtek available to anyone to fit now ? or is it limitted to Harvey/Steve Simpson ?

SimTek can be configured to run any MAP sensor.Favourites would be 97-98 Subaru or Delco 3 bar.Your installer can advise.

Dealers currently are:

Interpro, Bristol
Alan Jeffery Engineering, Plymouth
Triton, Bournemouth
ScoobyMania, Nottingham
Simpson motorsport, Lancaster

I was told 50quid + VAT for a higher rated MAP sensor to go with the Simtek.

Already sold mate, I was selling the car so started to strip it but changed my mind half way and dicided to keep it. Costing me a fortune to put it back to how it was.
