I was just wondering in you guys vast experience if you could tell me what the Top speed would be for my P1, There is nowhere around here I can "give it some"..Are the book figures correct for 0-62 and Top end??

Me again, on a recent thread someone reckoned they had accurately figured one at 167 mph. They will drive off the speedo though.
Not quite got there in mine...yet. |
Wait for a track day you have only just got it!!! It's not about straightline speed, it's about agility, cornering & power slides.....
|
Cant Wait..I have took it through a few S bends on the local A41 at 12.....0Mph...obviously this is nothing to its capabilities...I have read in a mag recently that some Guru said..."No matter how fast you take it into a corner, you always come out the other side wishing you had gone FASTER"!!!
Bugger me it was fun!! Den [Edited by Dennisi - 12/31/2001 11:07:53 AM] [Edited by Dennisi - 12/31/2001 11:18:36 AM] |
** wot he meant was a private road that he nicknames the A41 officer.....** ;)
|
Yeah Sorry... Did I forget to mention that it was on Private Land just off the A41 ...also got my speed mixed up it was 12 Mph...Must have hit the "0" by mistake!!!
|
;) :D
|
Even P1's can come unstuck. 12ohhhh mph - NUTTER :D:D
P. |
Mine went to 165 on the speedo.
|
and I thought the clock only went to 160 as well.........
Anybody fancy getting together at an airfield to find out the actual top speeds??? |
Mine was GPS'd at 167mph on a recent airfield run....
But it goes around the track better :D (Dont Arron ;) ) :D |
Hi Dennisi
Glad your enjoying your P1.I have had mine since March 2000 done 30000 miles of great motoring. I have had it off the clock a few times whilst on the Continent, but a little word of warning i did loose it at Castle Coombe in damp conditions. It can get a lot worse ask anyone who was at Silverstone for trax 2000. Enjoy and see you at a meet next year |

Oi.....careful Miss M ;)
|
Had a Kawasaki 12R first issued & run in & yes I got 170mph out of it & yes it did genuinely go (205 mph), but it pails into insignificance when getting your knee down on a twisty...
Then kids come along & yes straightline speed is great on the motorway, but its great on a track when you loose the rear end, catch it again & accelerate out..... If only it wasn't my car & I didn't have to drive this 1 home & there again safety issues...at least ur not going to hit oncoming traffic & also get to keep your licence... |
mine sits off the clock and is still (slowly) puling.

Oi.....careful Miss M Did you get my text? |
Mine was GPSed at 165.3 at Bruntingthorpe. GPS isn't 100% accurate but is a lot better than a speedometer.
|
Thanks People....I look forward to seeing some of you at Meets this year!!!
