If you mean the little flat sheet plastic ones, ScoobySport have them in stock:)

Josh L 31 December 2001 09:51 AM

You can also get the sill guards from your dealer, although they are probably more expensive. They were originally intended just for the P1 18" wheels. Personally, I do think they make a difference.

Simon,
They are available for both MY94-00 and MY01 from Robinsonsons of Rochdale Subaru dealers. Tel 01706 716655.
They work very well and are only £10 per pair including VAT for both model types.

The pictures show the first style I developed for MY94-00, fitted to my car, and the production one is lent against the car sill.
They attach using the existing clips on MY94-00.

On MY01 you can remove the cente portion of the existing clips and screw a self tapper into the remaining portion of clip, not into the steel of the wing.
Or you could also try removing the centre portion of the original clip, and push fit a plastic rawl plug in into the middle of the remaining part of the clip.
The rawl plug will lock the original part of the clip to the car body, then screw the self tapper into the rawl plug. That way you don't damage the original clip.
You will probabaly have to file the rawl plugs to the required diameter to suit each clip position, to create the correct level of fit on MY01.

There is no drilling required on either model year.

MTR

I purchased a set from robinsons for my MY01

When you say use self tappers in the existing clips do you mean remove the centre then screw in the bit that remains?

had them several weeks now and been unable to suss out how to fix them

I just phoned KT Greens at Leeds for some, and they told me that they aren't allowed to sell me them. They can only order them when they order the equivalent wheels for a P1, and wouldn't sell me them cos I don't have a P1 anyway :(

MTR 31 December 2001 11:48 AM

Phil Stephens,
Yes that is correct. Or you could also try removing the centre portion of the original clip, and push fit a plastic rawl plug in into the middle of the remaining part of the clip.
The rawl plug will lock the original part of the clip to the car body, then screw the self tapper into the rawl plug. That way you don't damage the original clip.

Edited to add that you will probabaly have to file the rawl plugs to the required diameter to suit each clip position, to create the correct level of fit.
Don't start knocking eight bells out of your car wing with a hammer to get them to fit. :D

BuRR,
Buy some from Robinsons then.

BuRR,

That's a load of rubbish, you should be able to buy them from any dealer and I know that Lavender Hill and Cheam Motors sell them for deffinate!!!!!

Failing that, get some of MTR's.....

Matt :)

P.S. The Prodrive ones are really worth it (£20 per pair) and make quite a difference to the amount of crap that gets sprayed up the side of the doors....MTR's ones are probably also just as good and are half the price.... :)

Phil,
I just left the pub when the wife phoned, wanted to know if I was almost home!! She wasn't amused.
Then I got lost trying to find the motorway. DOH!
Did a 4 mile detour round Nottingham.

But got home safely, eventually.

Hope you like the mini mud flaps. Good price weren't they;)

Cheers MTR

No offense MTR, but I think the Prodrive ones available through any Scoob dealership are better, being about an inch wider and deeper. Definitely keep crap off the doors and protect sills - very important if you've had them colour coded.

My dealer fitted them FOC during a normal service.

Richard.
