Hey all i've got some great footage on camcorder/vhs that i wanna put onto here somewhere anyone know how i'd go about it???:)

If you're going to do it yourself, you'll need a TV capture card of some discription. I got a Hauphaugge "WinTV-Go" card a few years ago for about £50 (should be really cheap now) and to my absolute delight I managed to download updated software for it recently which allows me to capture directly to DIV-X AVI (High compression) format :D

That's basically it, just plug the cam directly into the card and hit play. You could also download "real producer" (www.real.com) if you want to make instantly viewable movies, but the quality is a bit cr@ppy.

Alternatively, send the tape to someone who already has all the equipment ;)
