I've just had a new lambda sensor installed as the old one started luminating my Check engine light.
Would it change my performance as the car seems different,,seems to be pulling back below 3000 rpm,, when turbo's spining its fine but just seems a bit more hesitant when putting the foot down a bit till after the 3000rpm.
Would they have reset the ecu,,if not I take it the ECU would have adjusted itself for readings taken from a faulty sensor, and still kept them with the new one.

Any ideas,

Dave.

The ECU would have been re-set after this wrok, to check that the fault did not re-appear.

Had a new lambda sensor fitted on my last sti, prior to this there was alack of power on boost, peter connoly(ck manchester) told me that false signal sent by the sensor confused the ecu and therefore resulted in this problem.you can drive round with a faulty sensor for ages in an impreza without really knowing,as it is a common fault and can only be recognised properly by diagnostics check.Your car should be fine now with anew sensor fitted and it will feel different as the power is coming through as it should and no through a false reading.

BUDDY
