Whats my 2.5 type R worth??
I am looking to sell my grey type R STI V5 (2 door) to fund a house extension.
But Im not sure about how much it is worth! A standard car looks to retail at about 9k, but I have just spend over £11k on the parts for the mods, and more £ks on labour to fit them! So it stands me for more than £20k. I know Im not going to get all the money back but what is a sensible price for it? Its going to be somewhere between the 9 and 20k, unfortunately for me I expect maybe near the lower price than the 20k! I got the 2.5 conversion done about 500 miles ago by Rick at RE motorsport - top man. I spec-ed it like that as my intention was to get it to 400 bhp with a different turbo later on in the year. unfortunatly its a buyers market at the moment, you have an impressive car, and its almost the same spec as mine (mine is older V4 type R STI) and 2.2 with forged internals and billit crank, totally pristine, and i am looking for £8.5k
i also have an extensive folder with bills, but in a real world, she is only worth as much as the going market price for a "good one", and huge spec/bills will only put a bit on the price, UNLESS, you can sell to someone who rearly wants that perticular car/spec good luck mate, i hope you get near what your asking.(when you deceide that is) ps: why did you go for the r/c flywheel?? over the 4.5kg forenza one ? |
V5 Type R's are hovering around the £8K mark at the moment. Throw on 1/3 of what the mods cost you and you have a fiqure of around £11-12K. Doubt you'll get much more than that mate. :cry:
