Edmondo update
 

There was a thread which was called support a scoobynetter and was in charity area but i cant find it any more - someone called dc glen (?) was asking for updates well here is the latest

Ed is in hospital after catching an infection and has been since friday morning and he is not coming home till at least monday - his white blood count is VERY low and his chenio for this week has been cancelled - his temp shot up to 39.2 last night and he is in an isolation room:cry:

A similar thing happened to me, I had virtually no white blood cells left, and I had my Chemo cancelled and got pumped with very high doses of Amoxycillin, not even on a drip they needed to get it into me that quick

They thought I had become allergic to the Chemo (Cisplatin, Bleomycin Etoposide I think they were) but thankfully it was an infection and the amount of amoxycillin administered blasted it into obscurity, and I was soon back on the Chemo

I do hope he starts to get a bit better soon

Edmundo is made of though stuff... and let him know there's NO FECKIN WAY he's going to avoid getting the first round in with the DCI once he's up and about (remind him mines a double single malt whiskey with a whiskey chaser.... and leave the bottle) ;) and you'd better keep your chin up as you'll be fetching that order from the bar :thumb: ......

Seriously SP, its a set back.... but keep the faith.... I am, always have done... and always will do.... and the more people that you know are wishing you well the more you know you're BOTH not alone..... :)

he has been moved to a ward this evening after his tempature rose once again we should know tomorrow wether he is coming out or staying in further

Thats a good sign then SP that he has moved back onto the ward, I hope Ed can come home tomorrow

Not really as he was never in a ward in the 1st place - he has been stuck in accute assesment unit of A+E because of no room on wards and they have just RE-OPENED! this ward.:brickwall

I really do have a gut feeling he will be in for a little longer :cry:

My mum has gone home now and his parents are also due home today as well so im then on my own with my stepson who really doesnt like visiting his father or doing anything around the house - but mum has said she will come back next weekend and she also going to try and come up on tuesday night and go home early wednesday morning so she can still work

Oh dear, Sorry Scooby Princess, I assumed that he would have been on a ward, thats terrible not having room on wards,

I do hope he can come home today, tell him he has to as DCI has a bottle or two of Whisky for him :)

Get the whisky ready!

Just spoken to the hospital - he slept VERY well, so much so he had to be woken for breakfast! his tempature has leveled out so far and if it stays nice and steady today he MIGHT be allowed home tomorrow!!!!! YIPEE

He has been let out of jail and was even given a lift home in an ambulance for good behaviour! oh and his scan results have come back CLEAR! He is technically in remission
