What like Adebeyor? Arsenal fans have every reason to be worried, David Dein has gone and now its starting to fall apart. Henry gone, our only foward who can score goals and Wenger has only 12 months left on his contract with Real desperate for his services and to then sign Fabregas.

richie001 22 June 2007 08:46 PM

if i was an arsenal fan i would be worried,he the only goal scorer at the club.

Funkii Munkii 22 June 2007 10:23 PM

I think I predicted he'd go now at the start of last season, still very sorry to see him leave, a great great player even if he did become a bit of a **** in the last 12 months or so, nothing to admire last season but the 5 before that :notworthy

Thanks Thierry

Er... Robin Van Persie scorded more than Henry this season??
I'm an Arsenal fan, we have had a great service from Henry over the years (we never really used him against the yids so there will be no history changeing moments for them:p ) Anyway it's still only roumers!!;)

ash1 22 June 2007 11:19 PM

I'm a Sunderland fan and I'll be sad to see him leave. A great player who has carried himself very well. It would have been great to see him again at the Stadium of Light,

dark days for Arsenal, Dein gone, Henry now and Wenger by xmas.

loads of kids playing, but we all know you dont win anything with kids !!

goonerbear 23 June 2007 09:06 AM

Been an Arsenal fan since i can remember (40 today),and with Henry gone, never have i been so concerned about the future  . We have arguably the best stadium in the country, maybe even Europe but not the team to grace it, and if we are going to rely on youth against the likes of Chelsea,Liverpool and Scumbag Utd who have all strengthend, boy are we in trouble! From what i saw last season (live and on TV) the likes of Denilison, Diaby,Rosiky,Hleb and Eboure just do not cut the mustard at this level.Freddies not the player he was and Adebouyer(scuse the spelling) just isnt a 25 goal a season man, rumour has it that they will splash some of the money on Ryan Babel the Dutch under 21 man, but i think we need a proven goal scorer not another "one for the future" but with Dein gone and Wenger stalling over a new contract who will sign and do we have the money?

Maybe the board need to look at whats best for the club and sell out the American who has been expressing interest, and was apparently the reason for Deins deperature.

Got that of my chest can now get on with enjoying my birthday

richiewong 23 June 2007 09:15 AM

Happy Birthday:D

ash1 23 June 2007 09:27 AM

Henry :

- European Golden Boot winner in three successive seasons from 2003-04,
- a double footballer of the year and players' player of the year,
- a two-times world-player-of-the-year nominee and
- a World Cup and European Championship winner

Will be sad to see you go Terry.

richie001 23 June 2007 12:30 PM

at £16million they got a great player on the cheap sheva cost us £30million

Bravo2zero_sps 23 June 2007 04:04 PM

Arsenal aren't going to sign anyone big, they have just missed out on Ribery who has gone to Bayern when we were supposed to be getting him this summer, another refusal by the Arsenal board to pay the money for quality players  I have lost all confidence in the management at Arsenal, they have sold out our crown jewels in Henry and Vieira for stupidly low money, £13m and £16m for two of the Worlds best players

To be honest I don't care who they sign now as it makes no difference, Henry and Vieira are irreplacable and i've had enough of the Arsenal board being a bunch of w4nkers. Never have I felt like this about Arsenal before, and I think a lot of fans feel the same from certain websites and fans comments made.

paulpaulpaul 23 June 2007 04:17 PM

If he had any balls he would have left and joined a big club years ago, He only stayed cause he doubted his own ability following he flop spell in Italy.

I am glad the self righteous **** has left he thinks he speaks for world football.

I mean what was all that bollocks about last year with him turning up for matches in his suit and clapping on the side lines.

He was simply so stupid with his coments minutes after the lucky Champions leage final in pledging he would stay with the club just cause he was wound up with the questions being asked, had he then left he would have looked a bigger ****, he will have regretted saying that all last season.

Arsenal will be loads worse now he has gone and will struggle for top 6 next year but I bet the rest of the team is glad he has gone

I feel the same, but at the end of the day wenger ain't stupid there has got to be more to it? When we lost Viera it was the same and we carried on, and we got a replacement in Fabregas and diaby who r both excellent players. Henry is replaceable, theo WILL come good and i belive we will sign a world class striker (owen, martins, torres...etc) Wenger is ther to do a job and everyone he has agreed to sell (weather he wanted too or not) has come up with an answer.

Funkii Munkii 23 June 2007 09:40 PM

It looks very dodgy down at the Arse

Wenger for ENGLAND now before the spainiards nick him, give him anything what he wants, coaches like that don't come available every week.

Plant the seed :)

He will never do International football, he has stated it many times, just not enough games. The bloke lives and breathes football if you have ever seen any interviews about his life instead of the club or his job. He is addicted to football and only club management can give him the number of games to keep him happy.

Funkii Munkii 24 June 2007 07:30 AM

Maybe just maybe he needs a bit of a rest, from all the bull**** !, people change their minds, Thierry and Arsene being two that spring to mind ;), Arsene stating in May Henry would not be sold and to cap it all I was suprised to read it was Wenger that brokered the deal. You know what football's like never say never, but I hear what you say.

ash1 24 June 2007 10:13 AM

Wenger is no fool, he obviously see's a reason not to keep Henry as it states in the telepraph :

"Wenger has a history of selling even his best players once he feels they are physically on the wane. Sciatica can cause serious problems with injuries to muscles in the groin, back and neck and, with Euro 2008 approaching, perhaps Wenger feared he would not get as much as he wanted from his coveted asset."

This is very true and Henry has suffered with a lot of neck and groin injuries. However it still doesn't change the fact that even injured he was still our best player/goal scorer and there doesn't seem to be a lot on the horizon to strengthen the team.

:cuckoo:

Top goal scorer for arsenal was van persie and he missed most of the season. He would have been scored around 24-28 goals if he played the full season
