MAN WITH A VAN NEEDED

just testing the water...........

been looking round for a cheap shed and have found one that is a 'second' but brand new 8x6......the problem is that i need it collecting from Manchester and brought to me in Hertfordshire as they dont deliver this far down south.

is there anyone here that may be making this journey that can help out? :thumb:

van hire - Google Search

sarasquares 22 June 2007 02:01 PM

i could have found a van myself but i am trying to save some cash and not have to do the miles :p

STi wanna Subaru 22 June 2007 02:17 PM

Well I pity any bloke who's dumb enough to be the mug who does this.

sarasquares 22 June 2007 02:18 PM

why is that then?

STi wanna Subaru 22 June 2007 02:26 PM

Because he'd be a mug unless you were going to pay the going rate for somebody to pick up and deliver said shed which you clearly aren't.

sarasquares 22 June 2007 02:28 PM

but if he was already making the journey i wouldnt mind paying for picking it up and dropping it off.

some people dont mind helping out where they can :thumb:

WOMAN WITH A HOOVER NEEDED

I've noticed that there's a few bits of fluff and dust on my carpets, and I wondered if there was a wumman hoovering in the area who'd like to come and whip round with the dyson before she coils the lead up. :D

TelBoy 22 June 2007 03:11 PM

When you say a whip round, Geoff....? :Suspiciou

Petem95 22 June 2007 03:11 PM

I'm sure the lucky van driver will be "invited in for a coffee..." as well ;)

Bint, did you claim the last shed was washed away in an 8ft wave? :)

jaytc2003 22 June 2007 03:48 PM

where abouts are you based as I am in manchester and we use a white van man to do collections around the country. Let me know as he will be going to hampshire and dorset next week for us.

sarasquares 22 June 2007 06:46 PM

i thought this was going to be easy :D

i am near J10 on the M1 if that helps and i will provide cram cakes and stuff :p

i really need this shed :thumb:

edited to say that i have not paid for the shed yet so if anyone knows where i can get a tongue and groove 6x8 shed for under £200 i would be very interested (must be local):thumb:

SVXNUT 22 June 2007 07:15 PM

I am a courier, and will do it for 85p/mile cash. Thats Mates rates. Educated guess its about 200 miles, but without both P Codes I can't be sure. I will even give you a hand putting it together.

ROOBY_ROO 22 June 2007 07:27 PM

put your postcode in fleabay and see if there are any local to you, they may even deliver it for you. for one of your CRAM cakes, lol

black ctr 22 June 2007 08:06 PM
