Can you damage seat bolsters by sitting on them?

The title pretty much says it really, but I'll add a little background.

I had an alarm fitted yesterday to my STi ver. III and I'm pretty sure that the fitter has damaged my side bolster by sitting on it. I've only had the car 10 days and I'm sure that the bolsters were perfect and I'm also sure that he sat on it when he was telling me how to operate the alarm. He was quite a large chap, say 16/17 stone. The padding now seems to be misshapen where it's been forced over the edge of the bolster frame.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice until he'd gone and, even worse, I'd signed a form which contained before and after checklist of the car. However, we didn't check it before or after and he never even mentioned it to me, he just ticked everything himself! It doesn't actually mention any problems at all, which is wrong, because I have some small dents in the passenger side doors.

Anyone have any idea if his sitting on it may have damaged it?

Secondly, does anyone think that there's anything I could do about it?

My drivers' side one is getting a bit saggy (but that's after 4 tears of my arse getting in and out).
Most retrimmers should be able to rebolster it but i've no idea of cost sorry.

Don't think there's a lot you can do sorry m8......don't think I'd bother thinking about getting it re-foamed etc......just check the specialist breakers etc. for a nice new pair.

Thanks for the replies.

He definitely damaged it, but I phoned up the company before my post above and he just denied it, so that's the end of that really....

It's not that bad, so I'll just put up with it. Maybe I'll check out some breakers when I've saved some money up again.

Cheers,

Neil P
