xbox live, whats it like?
 

hey guys, i've had my classic xbox for a few yrs now and never been on live!!!! i am thinking about it but need to find out abit more....

How good is it to be live?
is it easy to use and set up?
is there many people online?
has everyone moved onto 360live now and classic is empty?!
what games are recommended? i like fifa06/ 07
is the headset useful or just bin it?

I think everyones onto the 360 now mate.

I had an old xbox but never used it on live, where as the 360 for me is all about live, its half the machine without it!

as above. deal for the 360 all over now. get one and get on live. great fun.

i dont get it!!!! i want to keep my classic xbox and i only occasionaly play on it and i just want to know whats it like on LIVE!!!

pay abit more and u'll get nearly 10x more power. not going into detail.... if u find out the specs to compare and u will know. The graphics r many times better than 360! Classic xbox was by far better than ps2. But ps3 is the winner against 360 now!!!

i'm not saying and never said the 360 is crap. the 360 is a wonderful console and does have many great games. the ps4 has fewer games because the console came out not long ago. basically the ps4 has much more potential for better games developement since its much more powerful.(by fact)

BTW u might aswell say ps2 is wicked as they have a million games!!!:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

It's been out at least 7 months now, and the developments kits were around a long time before that. Plenty of time for some decent games to have started appearing. Where are they though? Heard a rumour that they'll be announcing some stuff at E3 (ready for xmas and a potential price drop now that they've dropped the standalone blu-ray drive prices by $100)

Where is your evidence for this. Everything I've seen and read puts them roughly about equal at the end of the day wih the ps3 having a very slight edge in the processor department, (the 360 has a better graphics architechture). Certainly is not a 10x difference. That's just silly:wonder:

I like both consoles, when they drop the stupid price i will buy a PS3, until there under £300 or have more than a few crap games il pass.

I own a 360, infact i own two! the amount of games are endless and xbox live is the nuts, end of.

:lol1: someone has been reading too much Sony marketing literature. Many 360 owners on here have a lot of other consoles and brand loyalty such as 360 fan boy doesn't come into it. Sony got my money for the PS1, PS2 and PSP but they wont be getting it for the PS3, the 360 wins hands down and is the best bit of entertainment kit i've bought.

Actually sony will be in court soon,for using Manchester Cathedral without permission:D I have been a sony fan since the ps1 and ps2, but I feel they have dropped a clanger with the price and the late release of the console not to mention the crappy line up on release.

Not how much power you've got it's what they do with it:) and so far the games i've played on it look great but a very limited (except VF5 which is awesome) BUT just downloaded the Tenchu Z demo on 360 and it wouldn't look out of place on the PS1 it's appalling,so much for using the power of the 360.

Back on topic Xbox live is fantastic (Rainbow 6 is my fave at the mo) but the Arcade section is worth it alone imo.

I never once said that, in fact if you can read my post above I said the specs were simiular to the 360 (which they are). The PS3 is a great machine, but it certainly isn't 10x more powerful. I think you need to read a bit more real technical information and less Sony / fanboy marketing hype :D

I'm not a fan of any "platform", I'm a fan of games. There are loads of great games on the 360, and none worth having on the PS3 at the moment. Thus, it's an easy choice. I'll get a PS3 as soon as there is something worth buying one for...

p.p.s Xbox live is fantastic btw, but it's not very active for the old xbox stuff any more. Most people are playing 360 games now (apart from Halo 2 of course)...

Isn't 360live a subscription service?
