Dose Ver 2 Wagon have Sti Ver?

I am looking to buy a Impreza Wagon for towing my race car to track.

Found a Sti 2 Wagon on Piston head and a Blue WRX ver 4 in Autotrader.. thinking should i get the Sti or normal WRX??

I doubt that an Impreza can legally tow the combined weight of a trailr and a car.....

A V2 STI 'Wagon was produced by the way.

Its only taking my Integra type R, only have about 1100kg so it should be ok i think.

By the time that youve added a decent Ifor Williams four wheeled trailer youll be looking at well over 1600kgs though; plus wheels and whatever else you stow in the Integra.....

JDM cars dont have a maximum towing weight stated on their build plate though, as far as I can recall. A Forester S/Tb might be a better option. Its essentially an Impreza with a high capacity estate body and because its regarded as a 4x4 people wont bat an eye when you tow a heavy trailer with it.

How heavy is a normal Wagon? Dose the towing car need to be heavier than the car being tow? I seen loads of Volvo, ford mondero towing track car up to track day, so i assume the Wagon should be fine... am i too risky to tow with a Wagon?

The law is all over the place.. if you are using a "braked" trailer you can get away with towing more than the GMW of the towing car.
