european sti but non uk w/tee issues

i have recently purchased a sti hawkeye it was first registered in the uk but the pdi check in the service book was from cyprus. ive just registered it with subaru uk for its european w/tee as was going to have the ppp fitted but now the dealer has said he rang subaru and it will void the cypriot w/tee has anyone else had w/tee issues with a european import? cheers mike :(

I'm afraid it's true. The PPP is only approved for UK cars so will void the warranty on Euro imports.

This means you either have to live with it standard for 3 years or risk it (like I have) and go for a custom map and mods of your choice. I don't know if they would turn down a non engine related warranty claim if you did PPP it, though.

When i had my Euro WRX my dealer was really helpfull, he offered me the PPP and would use one of his cars chassis no for the registration, i could only get any warrenty issues sorted by him, although this was not a drama as they were really good at what they do.
