Spec D Colours

I thought the Spec D only came in Crystal Grey colour.

So how come I've seen a Black one for sale?

Is the Spec D available as a Euro import?
and if so do they have different colours to the UK?

One for the Subaru experts out there!!

thought they were only in the grey and only a uk car though i could be wrong

As far as I know it's grey or black. I've not yet seen any black ones though. Both were available in the UK.

Yes, it was possible to get them in black as well.

If it had been possible to get them in black then I would have had mine in black, the brochure clearly states only Crystal Grey.

The JDM A-Line is similar in concept to the Spec D and is/was available in black, could this be the cause of the confusion?

Robin

Only seen black from an import (Jap or Euro)

Uk Spec D definately only available in Crystal grey, however I believe a very small amount of dealers down south i think, had access to around 25 special edition cars that were not advertised with very similar spec to a Spec D, pretty sure you could have one in Black.

Spec D only available in Crystal Grey.
Successor to Spec D was STI "Limited" available in Obsidian Black, Premium Silver and Urban Grey.
V similar spec to the Spec D, slight change to the dash, black brake calipers and a lip spoiler on the boot hth:)

I am positive I read somewhere it was available in black! Can't remember where though.

Saw a grey spec D at Scoobylive modded up to look like the normal STI which confused me a bit.
Why not buy an STI ?

The Spec Ds were being given away in March for about £20 -£22k new.
It made sense to buy one with the trick bits plus add an STi spoiler and other more undiscrete parts as the total was still cheaper than buying a std UK STi.

Hi there,

We have a spec D 07 STI Subaru in black. It was bought within the EU.

Spec D was a UK only model. They are all Crystal Grey and 06MY. If it's 07MY or not Crystal Grey, then it isn't a Spec D.

The spec of car that the Spec D starts as is available in other markets in different colours but they are not UK cars and therefore won't be Spec D. If anyone is advertising the car as a Spec D and it's black then they are misrepresenting the car.

There's one on autotrader now. I agree it aint a UK spec D, i.e. it aint a spec D at all, if it is not Crystal Grey.

That was almost certainly my car (if it was the one being driven by the 16 year old lol)

The reason is I had a WR1 that was stolen last July, I wanted a replacement car that I could modify to be at least as good as the WR1 and the Spec D made the most sense as a base car because of the extra kit on it, a lot of which I would have added anyway (such as bluetooth hands free, better radio etc.,..) as the car is my daily driver. It would have the roof vane as well if it wasn't for the fact the Spec D doesn't have the necessary strengthening in the real pillars to take the load from one.

Regards,

Robin
