Best driving game for the PSP?

I've just got myself a PSP with the right type of firmware :)

What driving/racing games would you recommend?

HankScorpio 06 June 2007 09:58 PM

Either of the Burnouts
NFSMW is rubbish
TestDrive unlimited is extremely dull

rks275 06 June 2007 10:02 PM

yeah burnout legends is good, also the wrc game is very good :)

NFS, but cant remember if its Underground or Most Wanted thats the best. Ridge Racer is crap

GT Mobile.... oh shi..... ;)

HankScorpio 07 June 2007 08:36 PM

Forgot..

CMR is a bit pants but the career mode of Toca2 is brilliant, I go back to that one now and again.

Depends what you like, I personally think that ridge racer is good fun. I would recommend outrun coast to coast as well particularly good for short bursts. If you want some japanese street racing then the obscure street supremacy is basically tokyo highway battle by another name. Initial D is better though but japanese only and there is great trouble importing sony hardware and software into the U.K now after the Lik-Sang fiasco, so you might have to look on e-bay for that one.

I don't think he'll have to worry about finding it on ebay if he has 3.03OE firmware ;)

Burnout games are ok, I personally dont like any of the Need for Speed stuff. I quite like Colin McRae though. TOCA3 is now available on PSP too. Other than that theres not many decent driving games around for the PSP. Flat Out will be released soon though which is great on the PC

Gran Tourismo 2?

I've got Toca Race Car Driver, I wasn't too sure when I first bought it then got really in to it. I got quite far, about 80% before it got too dificult! Theres no modifying etc though, you all race the same car in each series. Cars range from Formula cars, Ford GT's, Skylines, Jaguars, Koenig, Aston Martins and Mustangs.

I've just finished Driver 76. I wasn't a big fan of the Grand Theft Autos, but this is like that, but all the driving missions. Kept me entertained for a while.

HankScorpio 16 June 2007 06:27 PM

Didn't like Driver 76 much, it was all very samey.
Comic book cut scenes were good tho.
