What colour is the tint on an MY99 STi Wagon?
 

Autoglass are coming out out on Friday to fix the chips or replace the front screen on the MY99 Import STi Wagon but are asking what colour the tint is. I am not sure how you tell the tint colour to be honest, can someone advise what colour it is or how to tell :wonder:

Best thing to do is get a piece of white paper roll down the window a bit and place the paper over lapping the edge of the glass. You should clearly see the difference IIRC its gold green or blue.

I will give it a go when I get home, cant overlap the edge of the windscreen though... I did suggest the white paper idea to the wife but she is too busy to try.

The tint will be the same on all windows, so you can use the door windows.

Hi,
If it's a Jap import it should have a blue tint, if a UK car then a green tint. Found that out when Autoglass put a blue one in my UK wagon rear door and I stood in Tesco's carpark and thought 'bollocks'.

Just give them the chassis number, they will get the right screen for the car then (even if its a jap import!)
